The Washington State Patrol is currently on the lookout for eye-witnesses to a freeway shooting incident that unfolded on southbound Interstate 5 in Snohomish County. The event, which took a place on the morning of June 12, 2024, has prompted a serious investigation into the circumstances leading up to the gunfire exchange on one of the state's busiest roads.

Details shared by the Washington State Patrol's official release describe the suspect vehicle as an approximately 2010 red Chevrolet Camaro with obscured license plate details due to a tinted cover. The operators of the suspect vehicle are a male with facial hair driving and a passenger also present at the time of the shooting. The investigation, while in its initial phase, is centering around this description to narrow down on the suspect.

The receiving end of the incident was a tan 2004 Lexus SUV, which sustained multiple bullet markings to its rear passenger tire, as per the Washington State Patrol. In what can only be called as fortunate, there were no reported injuries despite the evident violence that escalated on the road that day. The absence of bodily harm, however, does not diminish the seriousness with which the WSP is treating this case.
