Texas is heating up this summer with the grand opening of WorldSprings at the Grandscape, branded as the country's largest outdoor mineral springs resort, on June 28. According to MySA, the lavish wellness retreat will sprawl over nine acres in North Texas, approximately 20 minutes from Dallas. This $32 million project is just the beginning, with a sibling resort scheduled to hit Cedar Park in Central Texas, expected to break ground in early 2025.

Cedar Park's future spa oasis, flagged by concerns of water conservation, has council members like Heather Jefts scrutinizing its ecological footprint. "I feel like 'we're not the worst' isn't really a selling point ... What are you guys doing to push the envelope on water conservation? ... More than two-thirds of this property is now parking lot [instead] of greenspace," Jefts pointed out in a previous meeting. Officials countered these concerns by explaining water recirculation policies and night coverage of pools to prevent evaporation, as reported by KVUE. They maintain that their conservation efforts are tighter than other commercial businesses.

The inaugural WorldSprings location at the Grandscape will not only boast 46 outdoor soaking pools but also offer barrel saunas, cold plunges, and a diverse array of saunas. In addition, a state-of-the-art spa facility and a sophisticated food and beverage program are set to complement the therapeutic offerings. WorldSprings prides itself on employing the "Mineral Method" of soaking aimed at optimizing health, alongside a suite of body treatments, facials, and methods for athletic recovery. The experience promises a global journey, with pools designed to summon the essence of hot springs from regions like the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific, including a Dead Sea-inspired saline pool and the freshwater Globe Pool.

While the upcoming Central Texas WorldSprings location near Dallas, is set to cement itself as a wellness landmark, Councilmember Mel Kirland believes in its unique draw. "This is more of a destination than just a community pool," Kirland told, KVUE. WorldSprings Cedar Park has chosen East New Hope and Scottsdale Drive as its home, just across US 183A from the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. It is poised to open a doorway to a world of relaxation and wellness that could redefine leisure and self-care in the Lone Star State.
