Last Thursday, the Vallejo Police Department reported a gunshot victim admitted to a local hospital. Despite their best efforts, the staff was unable to save the victim. This incident brings this year's homicide count in Vallejo to a concerning twenty.

The Vallejo Police Department reported that the identity of the male victim, transported to the hospital by a female acquaintance, is yet to be released. She was able to provide information regarding the scene of the shooting, aiding the police in their investigation.

The Vallejo Police Detective Division has taken on the responsibility of investigating this latest case.  As the investigation unfolds, the Vallejo Police Department, including Detectives Stephanie McDonough and Daniel Callison, encourages the public to assist with any relevant information.
