If you're interested in new Phoenix bars, consider dropping into one of these new spots. Here are the newest places to check out the next time you're in search of a new bar near you.

State 48 Brewery DTPHX

345 W. Van Buren St., Central City

Family-run business State 48 Brewery DTPHX offers an assortment of burgers, sandwiches, salads, soup and more, in addition to its selection of beers.

On the menu, look for the carnitas torta with beer braised pork carnitas, avocado crema and cotija cheese or the beer cheeseburger with fries.

The beer is made on-site, with menu selections changing regularly. There's also a selection of wines, cocktails and whiskies available.

Yelp users are generally positive about State 48 Brewery DTPHX, which currently holds four stars out of 16 reviews on the site.

Michael J. noted, "It’s finally a brewery downtown! This is much more than just a beer place, boasting a full bar of spirits, full food menu and over 30 taps on draft. For food, you can't go wrong with any burger on the menu.  As for beers, treat yourself.”

Yelper Julie C. wrote, "This newly opened venue in downtown Phoenix serves great beer, brewed on the premises. The menu is varied and the burgers did not disappoint my husband and son. I had meat loaf and it was excellent with mashed potatoes and beer gravy.”

State 48 Brewery DTPHX is open Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.–Wednesday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m.– midnight on Friday–Saturday and 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Sunday. 

High Dive

High Dive is a bar and traditional American spot, with a menu inspired by the typical dive-bar experience but with a “high-class” twist, according to its website. 

The joint offer a wide selection of cocktails, beers and other beverages, as well as bar bites and more substantial fare. Share a plate of the buffalo cheese curds, flash-fried, with a blue cheese dipping sauce, or flatbreads like the Flagstaff Flower Power with pesto sauce, kale, spinach, artichokes and goat cheese.

For drinks, look for a selection of beers on tap, wines and cocktails.

Yelp users are generally positive about High Dive, which currently holds four stars out of 34 reviews on the site.

Yelper Shawn L., who was one of the first users to visit High Dive on Sept. 17, wrote, "We found a nice layout with lots of seats to watch the game … Everything we ordered was excellent! We got the buffalo cheese curds, the nachos and wings. I'd order [it] all again.”

Cam C. wrote, “I stopped in for a few beers one day and enjoyed how cute this place is! I also appreciate that they have Natural Light on draft, which I've never seen anywhere. I sat at the bar and the service was really good.”

High Dive is open from 3 p.m.–midnight on Monday-Thursday, 3 p.m.–2 a.m., Friday-Saturday, and 12 p.m.–midnight on Sunday.

The Irish Hare Pub

From live music to football Sundays, the Irish Hare Pub offers plenty of entertainment to enjoy on any night. The menu consists of bar classics, like the Top O’ The Mornin’ Burger made with shaved corned beef, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut on a pretzel bun with house-made chips; or Irish Nachos with house-made chips, Swiss cheese and shaved corned beef.

The Irish Hare Pub currently holds 4.5 stars out of 19 reviews on Yelp, indicating their rise

Michelle W. noted, "This new place in Ahwatukee has great food and beers! And hell, three-dollar Jamison shots! It is new and I am so excited."

Yelper Steve A. wrote, "I tried [the] fish and chips, shepherd's pie and Great Grandma Suzie's corned beef hash. The fish and chips are a sizable portion crispy and moist inside ... The shepherd's pie is unique among others I have had. “
