Topping the list is cocktail bar Young Joni, which offers pizza and more. Located at 165 13th Ave. NE, it's the highest rated business in the neighborhood, boasting 4.5 stars out of 458 reviews on Yelp.

Specializing in wood-fired cooking, the restaurant offers globally inspired pizzas and small plates. Look out for protein-centric entrees such as sweet and spicy barbecue ribs, prawns and Korean short ribs and vegetarian plates like cauliflower, grilled eggplant and kimchi. Next up is brewery Dangerous Man Brewing Co, situated at 1300 Second St. NE. With 4.5 stars out of 308 reviews on Yelp, it's proven to be a local favorite. 

The business says its focus is on "high-quality, small-batch production beers with ever-changing taps," per its website. Look for craft beers like the citrusy and fruity House IPA, the Peach Milkshake IPA, the Watermelon Sour or the Peanut Butter Porter with hints of chocolate and coffee.

3. The Anchor Fish & Chips

The Anchor Fish & Chips, a spot to score fish and chips and more, is another top choice. Yelpers give the business, located at 302 13th Ave. NE, four stars out of 540 reviews.

According to the business' website, this spot's main call to fame is its Alaskan cod and fresh cut potatoes. The Anchor also features breakfast, lunch and dinner menus and offers shepherds pie, grass-fed burgers, meat pasties and more on top of its full line of seafood.
