A new barbecue eatery with Asian fusion and classic American fare has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 204 Main St., Suite #102, the new Fort Mill arrival is called The Improper Pig.

The Improper Pig also has another location in Charlotte, which was featured on the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives."

On the menu, expect pulled pork, St. Louis-style ribs and more on the menu. The Asian influence can be seen in items such as the Southern egg rolls, Korean barbecue salmon and the ahi tuna salad with ginger sesame dressing. Vegetarian options are also available, including the No Pig sandwich with grilled mushrooms.

The Improper Pig has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.

Randy B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Jan. 1, wrote, "Make sure to eat here if you're in the area! I ordered the DDD Improper Charcuterie, which consisted of pulled pork, brisket, andouille sausage and ribs."

Yelper Lauren T. added, “The food was amazing. The mac and cheese burger and the pulled pork bowl were both so good. The ahi tuna is a lighter option if you're looking for something to balance out your pimento nachos."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: The Improper Pig is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday and 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday-Sunday.
