Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top places to visit in Beacon Hill, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of neighborhood businesses. Read on for the results.

1. Garcia's Mexican Food

Topping the list is breakfast and brunch and Tex-Mex spot Garcia's Mexican Food, which offers tacos and more. Located at 842 Fredericksburg Road, it's the highest rated business in the neighborhood, boasting 4.5 stars out of 170 reviews on Yelp. 

At this Mexican spot brisket is the star of the show, which comes by the pound, frozen or hot. Look for the brisket taco with guacamole on a tortilla. Other menu items include chilaquiles with cheese and bacon, brisket nachos and chicken enchiladas.

Next up is Las Nieves Fruit Cups & More, a spot to score shaved ice, situated at 1118 W. Hildebrand Ave., Suite 101. With 4.5 stars out of 116 reviews on Yelp, it's proven to be a local favorite. 

This spot also boasts a location on Blanco Road and three food trucks, according to its website. At Las Nieves, expect to find a variety of cold treats, from ice cream to milkshakes to smoothies. There's also corn in a cup, chicharrones, pickles and more.

Dimona E. wrote, "Our favorite place to cool off on a hot, summer day—living in San Antonio, you know there are plenty of those. The selection of cold treats continues to grow every visit, so there's something for everyone. There's always a line, but service is quick."

3. Blanco Cafe

Tex-Mex, breakfast and brunch spot Blanco Cafe is another top choice. Yelpers give the business, located at 1720 Blanco Road, four stars out of 149 reviews.

With another location at 419 N. Saint Mary's, this spot was voted Best Enchiladas in San Antonio five times consecutively, according to its website. 

On the menu, expect to find a variety of caldos, a broth served with a protein alongside tortillas. There's also enchiladas, quesadillas, taco and brisket plates, and more.
