Ruben's Backyard

Ruben's Backyard is a Tex-Mex spot, offering burgers and sandwiches.

The dine-in restaurant serves up pulled pork sandwiches, chicken fajitas and shrimp enchiladas, alongside an array of draft beers. Ruben's Backyard also features a children's play area.

It's gotten an enthusiastic response thus far with Yelpers, having a four star rating out of 16 reviews on the site.

Darcie S., who was among the first to review it on Feb. 5, wrote, "I had the Poblano Burger and it was great. My husband and my daughter had the Quicky Plate (cheese enchiladas) and they both cleaned their plates. Glad to have a new place in the neighborhood."

Mike B. noted, "Shrimp enchiladas were spot on and just the right amount! Great nachos, draft Dos XX and a tasty margarita to start with. The sopapillas for dessert were the best I have ever had!"

Hungry? It's open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and Sunday, and 11 a.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday. (It's closed on Monday.)

Camila’s Mexican Restaurant

Camila’s Mexican Restaurant is a new Mexican diner and breakfast and brunch spot.

The restaurants serves up daily breakfast specials, from Monday's huevo rancheros to Friday's choriquiles plate. Also on the menu are an array of tacos with fillings like bacon and egg, chilaquiles and carne guisada. (Take a look at the full menu here.)

With four stars out of five reviews on Yelp, it's on its way to developing a local fan base.

Yelper Monica T., who was among the first to review it on Jan. 21, said, "Camila's was very good. Chips and salsa were perfect. They have agua fresca too. Prices were very reasonable and service was great! Definitely worth a try!"

Pam D. noted, "I got the Camila bowl, which was delicious. It comes with beans, rice, pico de gallo, guacamole and your choice of chicken or beef."

The new eatery has yet to post its hours online.

Pollos Asados Don Jose

Pollos Asados Don Jose is a new chicken shop and Mexican spot.

The chicken spot offers fire-grilled meats cooked to perfection. Its menu includes specialties like the fajita burger (guacamole, lettuce, pico de gallo, beef fajita, white cheese and chipotle sauce) and an array of grilled meats from chicken to carne asada. (Take a look here.)

The new eatery is getting solid reviews on Yelp with a 3.5-star rating out of three reviews.

Yelper Chris D., who was the first to review it on Jan. 3, wrote, "This place is awesome. They give you lots of food for an affordable price. The service is always good."

Cristina A. added, "We ordered one pound of fajitas that was very well served with great seasoning. Also one order of guacamole, which was very creamy."
