Sensory Friendly Afternoon at Children's Museum of Pittsburgh

This Tuesday, the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh hosts an afternoon full of activities for kids who fall on the autism spectrum and/or have sensory sensitivities. Noise throughout the museum — including announcements and exhibition sounds — will be reduced, and headphones will be available for children wanting even more sound reduction.

Cooking Up History at Heinz History Center

Bring your toddler to the Heinz History Center on Wednesday to learn about cooking in the 1950s. During the hands-on lesson, children ages 2-5 and their caregivers will cook recipes from the era while enjoying '50s music, dance and games.

Destination Moon: Closing Weekend at Heinz History Center

This weekend is also your last chance to view the "Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission" exhibit at the Heinz History Center. Special farewell activities include a mini-musical, lectures and guided exhibit tours.

Pittsburgh Ferment Festival at Spirit Lodge
