New American spot The Longfellow Bar debuts in West CambridgePhoto: Ruthann H./Yelp

Hungry? A new neighborhood New American spot has you covered. Located at 40 Brattle St., Suite 3,  in West Cambridge, the newcomer is called The Longfellow Bar.

The Longfellow Bar, which sits in the reimagined 130-year-old historic Brattle Hall, offers a diverse selection of food. Expect to find smoked freekah bread, pigs in a blanket and smoked root vegetables with peanut molotes. For heartier meals, look for smoked wing "flats" and the spot's signature burgers. On the drink list, expect to find wine, champagne and beer.

With a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, The Longfellow Bar has already made a good impression.

Yelper F R., who reviewed the spot on Jan. 26, wrote, "The food and drinks pave the way here. The Alden burger is a critical purchase, with the signature crackled cheddar as a massive improvement to an American classic."

Yelper Ruthann H. added, “I ordered the short rib kitfo (tartare) and was happily surprised that the flavors were both authentic to Ethiopian cuisine and also innovative. The cocktails were also great. I like the idea of a rotating drink menu with bartender favorites."

The Longfellow Bar is now open at 4 p.m. seven days a week at 40 Brattle St., Suite 3., so swing on by to take a peek.
