MSTP Research Symposium 2019

On Thursday, spend the afternoon learning about the San Diego community's medical and research needs — current and future — at the UC San Diego Medical Scientist Training Program's fourth annual symposium.

The symposium will spotlight the remarkable achievements of physician-scientists in basic science and clinical research. Dr. Amalio Telenti, M.D. PhD, the Professor of Genomics at The Scripps Research Institute and former Chief Scientific Officer at Human Longevity Inc., will deliver the keynote address.

Following the afternoon of programming, there will be a poster session and a happy hour with complimentary refreshments.

Beefsteak San Diego

If you love beef and beer, this event is for you. On Thursday night, enjoy a gluttonous three-course beef-centric meal at Beefsteak San Diego. The event gathers the city's best chefs, including Phil Esteban of Craft & Commerce, James Montejano of Huntress Steakhouse, Eric Manuel of the Dana and "Top Chef" alum Giselle Wellman to cook six cuts of Brandt beef over live fire.

All money raised will be donated to No Kid Hungry through Chefs Cycle. This event is for ages 21 and over.

TEDxYouth at SanDiego 2019

Students from local high schools will speak and perform their ideas regarding solutions to the world's most pressing problems and the creation of a better future.
