San Diego’s Ocean Beach Street Fair and Chili Cook-Off could be scaled back this summer after proposed city budget cuts target arts-and-events grants. Organizers warn the loss of a small city grant would force fee hikes or smaller programming.
San Diego Fringe returns May 12–24 with a new Baja Fringe pilot sending shows to Ensenada and Rosarito. The festival will also add SDSU stages and host the World Fringe Congress.
