Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy's Critical Role in Successful Recoveries

Learn about the integral role of physical therapy in the sports medicine world and in treatment protocols for athletes. This free and interactive seminar, hosted by Steward Center for Sports Medicine and Community Health, will bring together team doctors for the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury alongside local sports medicine specialists.

Film Screening and Discussion: "For the Sake of the Children"

See a depiction of the post-World War II Japanese-American experience at a screening and panel discussion for the documentary film, "For the Sake of the Children." The film, which examines the legacy of Japanese-American incarceration, follows the stories of four generations of Japanese Americans, including former U.S. Congressman and Secretary of Transportation, Norm Mineta and actor George Takei. Filmmaker Marlene Shigekawa will participate in a panel discussion following the screening.

The free event is sponsored by ASU Asian Pacific American Studies, the Arizona Jewish Historical Society and the Cutler-Plotkin Jewish Heritage Center.
