Druid Hills South gets a new beer spot: Heist Brewery and Barrel ArtsPhoto: Jeff S./Yelp

There's a brand-new brewery in town. Called Heist Brewery and Barrel Arts, the fresh arrival is located at 1030 Woodward Ave. in Druid Hills South.

Heist Brewery and Barrel Arts specializes in small batch beer. Expect Belgian table beers, IPAs, stouts and more on the menu, alongside eats like its wood-fired beer cheese, veggie stir fry and pimiento cheeseburger flatbread. This spot also serves up more than 100 different whiskies.

The new brewery has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Lindsay W., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 7, wrote, "Heist is known for its IPAs and they are all great. We were pleasantly surprised by the imperial stout and sour blueberry saison."

And Jeff S. added, "The tap list is displayed on three televisions above the bar. This spot has beer along with a few cider options. There are water dispensers at each end of the bar, too."

Head on over to check it out: Heist Brewery and Barrel Arts is open from 3 p.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 1 p.m.–11 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Saturday and noon–8 p.m. on Sunday.
