We took a data-driven look at the question, using Yelp to deduce which local businesses have been getting a notable increase in attention this month.
To find out who made the list, we looked at Phoenix businesses on Yelp by category and counted how many reviews each received. Rather than compare them based on number of reviews alone, we calculated a percentage increase in reviews over the past month, and tracked businesses that consistently increased their volume of reviews to identify statistically significant outliers compared to past performance.

Daily Jam
Open since 2017, this breakfast, brunch and lunch spot, which offers coffee, tea and more, is trending compared to other businesses categorized as "American (New)" on Yelp.
Citywide, New American spots saw a median 1.9% increase in new reviews over the past month, but Daily Jam saw a 10.2% increase, maintaining a convincing four-star rating throughout. Moreover, on a month-to-month basis, Daily Jam's review count increased by more than 170%.
Located at 888 N. First Ave., Suite 114, in Central City, Daily Jam offers pancakes, waffles and omelets for breakfast, as well as soups, salads and sandwiches (hot and cold) for lunch.
Casa Corazon Restaurant
Whether or not you've been hearing buzz about Encanto's Casa Corazon Restaurant, the gourmet Mexican restaurant is a hot topic, according to Yelp review data.
While businesses categorized as "Breakfast & Brunch" on Yelp saw a median 2.1% increase in new reviews over the past month, Casa Corazon Restaurant bagged a 6.8% increase in new reviews within that time frame, maintaining a healthy 4.5-star rating. It significantly outperformed the previous month by gaining 2.8 times more reviews than expected based on its past performance.

Provision
Camelback East's Provision is also making waves. Open since June 2018 at 4501 N. 32nd St., the popular cafe, coffee roaster and bar has seen a 10.6% bump in new reviews over the last month, compared to a median review increase of 3.5% for all businesses tagged "Cocktail Bars" on Yelp. Moreover, on a month-to-month basis, Provision's review count increased by more than 250%.
Aside from coffee, tea and cocktails, Provision serves baked goods, seafood, specialty meats, chocolates and other sweets from vendors in Arizona, California and Iowa. Over the past month, it's maintained a sound 4.5-star rating among Yelpers.
