'Justice on Trial'
Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing was one for the books — namely, Mollie Ziegler Hemingway and Carrie Lynn Severino's new book "Justice on Trial: The Kavanaugh Confirmation and the Future of the Supreme Court." Hemingway will visit Oakland to discuss the book, which features interviews with more than 100 people involved in the Kavanaugh confirmation, including President Trump and several Supreme Court justices.

Daniel Caesar at Fox Theater
Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Daniel Caesar is visiting the Fox Theater to support his new album "Case Study 01." Hailing from Canada, Caesar is known for neo-soul tracks "Best Part" and "Get You," and recently debuted a new collaboration single with Brandy entitled "Love Again." Jamaican reggae artist Koffee will open the show.

Oakland Chinatown Street Festival
This annual two-day festival in Oakland's Chinatown celebrates Asian culture with a host of activities across eight blocks of the neighborhood. Expect 150 vendors, two stages of live music, arts & crafts, a cultural village sponsored by the Oakland A's, food trucks and more. A special kids' zone will offer rides and other family-friendly activities.

Gameheads Student Showcase
Want to see the next big thing in gaming? Gameheads, which helps train low-income young people of color in technical fields, is hosting a special showcase where community members can play games developed by its students. Visitors will get to hear talks from industry leaders, enjoy local food and refreshments, and see prizes awarded to the best games at a special ceremony.
