Mickey's Hideaway brings traditional American fare to Old WestportPhoto: Lindsay N./Yelp

A new traditional American spot has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Called Mickey's Hideaway, the fresh arrival is located at 4057 Pennsylvania in Old Westport.

Mickey's Hideaway has daily specials, such as Motor City Madness, which is Detroit-style pizza and pitchers on Monday and smoked Korean brisket on Saturday. The eatery also has Pokemon fry, which is waffle-cut sweet potato, with Korean short rib, house kimchi and kewpie mayo. Want dessert? The menu also offers sweet potato cake. (See the full menu here.)

With a 4.5-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp so far, the new arrival has already made a good impression.

Yelper Lindsay N. added, “My husband and I were going to a concert down the street at The Riot Room and decided to stop by here for a quick dinner before the show. We started with the crispy mushrooms, which were crunchy and very good, especially with the dipping sauce they come with."

And Jorge S. wrote, "Great food and massive cocktails. I strongly recommend the wings, bread pudding and Horse Feather cocktail."

Head on over to check it out: Mickey's Hideaway is open from 11 a.m.–midnight on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–1:30 a.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.–1:30 a.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.–midnight on Sunday.
