New Indian restaurant Spice Squared opens in CantonPhoto: Spiced Squared/Yelp

A new sports bar and Indian restaurant has opened for business in the neighborhood. The newcomer to Canton, called Spice Squared, is located at 2903 O'Donnell St.

Spice Squared offers appetizers such as buttermilk fried oysters, chicken dumplings and shrimp fried in a chickpea batter. Other menu options include clam linguini, vegetarian pasta, tandoori chicken wraps, seafood chowder and a Greek salad, as well as an assortment of breads. For dessert, try the rice pudding or the deep-fried cottage cheese balls dipped in honey and syrup. The spot also serves brunch.

With a four-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh addition has made a promising start.

Robert R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 10, wrote, "Incredible food, not just Indian food. Wings are amazingly cooked well and sauced to perfection. Highly recommend for sports watching."

And Sumit G. wrote, "Great atmosphere and excellent service at the bar. Food was OK. Wasn't a big fan of the paneer tikka, but saag paneer was delicious."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. The restaurant is open from 3 p.m.- 2 a.m. on Monday-Thursday and 10 a.m.-2 a.m. on Friday-Sunday.
