A new casual eatery, offering sandwiches, salads and more, has opened its doors in the Alberta Arts District. The fresh addition, called Cafe Gertrude, is located at 3023 N.E. Alberta St. in the space formerly occupied by Vita Cafe.
Cafe Gertrude serves up a wide variety of vegan-friendly fare, with dairy and meat available upon request. The cozy spot is named for owner Johnny Sullivan's dog, Gertrude, according to the restaurant's website.
