Top Thai Vintage brings Thai fare to the West VillagePhoto: Top Thai Vintage/Yelp

A new Thai spot has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 55 Carmine St. in the West Village, the fresh addition is called Top Thai Vintage.

This is the second restaurant in the Top Thai family, whose original location opened near Washington Square back in 2017. Sporting a quirky, rickshaw-themed decor, the new spot serves up authentic Thai favorites, like spring rolls, tom yum soup, papaya salad, pineapple fried rice, curries, noodles and more. Check out the chef's specials, such as the crispy duck in tamarind sauce, the grilled skirt steak with Thai gravy, and the whole red snapper with choice of six different sauces. The menu also offers classic desserts, like fried ice cream and coconut pudding, as well as lunch specials starting at $9.95

With a five-star rating out of 37 reviews on Yelp so far, Top Thai Vintage is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Gregory C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 16, wrote, "Overall, it was a wonderful experience."

Yelper Jia L. noted, “Each dish was delicious, and the service staff was friendly."
