A California man has been slammed with a life sentence after he confessed to a cold-blooded murder outside a Georgia hair salon back in June 2018. Tychicus Cameron Wilson, 35, entered a guilty plea to a series of charges that included Malice Murder, two counts of Felony Murder, and Aggravated Assault in the slaying of 29-year-old Anthony Jordan, Jr., according to DeKalb County District Attorney's Office.

Initially maintaining his innocence, Wilson changed his tune following the presentation of evidence in a trial that kicked off with jury selection just days earlier. The state's case rolled out all witnesses and evidence against him only for the defendant switching gears and accepting guilt, a move that swiftly brought the proceedings to a halt. The incident occurred on Redan Road in Stone Mountain where Jordan was ruthlessly gunned down after stepping out of a hair salon, surveillance footage caught Wilson executing the brazen attack after lying in wait for over 45 minutes. Not only did Jordan suffer fatal wounds, but the salon also got riddled with bullets, leaving one customer injured by shattered glass and another grazed by a stray shot.

Wilson, whose face got caught without question on a convenience store security camera adjacent to the strip mall, returned to his green Cadillac after the brief visit and bided his time before making a deadly move against Jordan. The hair-triggered assassin was picked up in LA on an unrelated parole violation charge on June 25, 2018, sporting a handgun and fake ID, and was later hauled back to Georgia to face justice for the murder after serving his time out West for firearm possession, the DeKalb County District Attorney's Office detailed.

Following Wilson's guilty plea, DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Brian Lake wasted no time issuing a lifelong ticket behind bars for the convicted killer. The prosecution team, comprising Chief Senior Assistant District Attorney Joshua Geller, Senior Assistant District Attorney Darlene Childers, along with help from District Attorney Investigator Christopher Usiak, and Victim Advocate Kaysha Albritton, led the charge, securing the conviction. It closed a chapter on a case that Det. Tappan, from the DeKalb Police Department, originally opened while stitching together the chain of events that led to Jordan's tragic death.
