In this edition: an Alameda-based brewery is coming to Temescal, Downtown lost a long-standing spot known for vegan dishes and its Nintendo NES, and over at Jack London Square a popular waterfront restaurant is no more.

Alameda-based Faction Brewing is opening a second location in Temescal, Eater SF reports. According to an Instagram post by the brewery, the other location in Alameda will stay open as well. Few other details were announced — the Instagram post only states "stay tuned for more details".

However, Eater SF speculates that judging from the liquor license application, the new spot might also be a restaurant instead of just a taproom. A Type 41 liquor license allows for the sale of beer or wine at an eating establishment. The new location's application is currently pending.

According to their website, Faction Brewing produces a wide range of beers in their 20-barrel brewhouse, including lagers, stouts, Belgian style beers, barrel-aged beers, and the occasional sour, while specializing in hoppy beers.

Analog (414 14th St.)

Analog, known for its vegan menu options and a Nintendo NES, has shut down, Hoodline veteran tipster Al M. tells us.

A post on Analog's Facebook page confirms the news. "Many thanks for all the love," the post reads. "We will miss all our regulars & everyone who supported us for the past 5 years," the post adds.

According to the same post, Analog closed on February 1 and it's currently unclear if they will reopen in a new location.

Jack London Square

Lungomare (1 Broadway)

Al also informed us that Italian waterfront restaurant Lungomare at Jack London Square is closed for good.

"There's a note posted on [the] door that the place is closed to the public," Al notes. On a separate board, a notice indicates that something new will replace Lungomare later this summer. According to Nosh, the Waterfront Hotel above Lungomare, owned by Hyatt, is involved in the planned new dining experience. Lungomare was sold to a new owner last year.
