The beloved ritual will hit the skids on key celebrations, including Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 14 and Presidents' Day on February 18. Not only on those days but rolling out through the months, with Easter on March 31, the gears will grind to a halt, making Memorial Day on May 26 and Juneteenth on June 16 go without the event.
The San Mateo County government site gears up to halt the event on seven more occasions, including Independence Day observed on July 7, Labor Day on September 1, both Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples' Day on October 13, Veterans Day celebrations on November 10, and during the deep chill of the festive season with Thanksgiving on December 1, followed by Christmas on December 22 and rounding off with the New Year's weekend on December 29.
