The big cat cameo happened at around 10:40 pm on February 25, and although it didn't show any aggressive behavior towards any humans, the sighting was unsettling enough for locals to call in the police.

When officers arrived at the scene, they caught more than just a glimpse of the creature, confirming it wasn't just a tall tale. The Pacifica Police Department issued a statement noting the presence of the big cat after their arrival. According to the department, this isn't the first time a mountain lion has decided to take a stroll through the city streets, as the area is known as "mountain lion country." But don't let those fuzzy faces fool you, attacks on humans are rarer than a decent internet connection in the wilderness.

The California Department of Fish & Wildlife, the go-to agency when it comes to wildlife shenanigans, was promptly notified.
