Grapevine, Texas is slated for a retail facelift as the storm-struck Sam's Club at 1701 West State Hwy 114 prepares for a major overhaul starting April 29. A filing with the state revealed a comprehensive renovation plan, at a hefty $15 million price tag, with a projected completion date of August 29, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The remodel will include a sprawling 153,878 square feet of sales floor, member services areas such as an optical sales and offices, a hearing center, a pharmacy, as well as a tire and battery station. Employees are to get renovated break rooms while shopping areas will see upgrades to the grocery, refrigerated islands, and club pick-up sections. Not just content with the interior, the renovation extends to the store's exterior with fresh paint and new signage. Obtained from the official project details, the makeover is self-funded by Sam's Real Estate Business Trust on the privately owned property.

After closing due to extensive damage caused by North Texas tornadoes, the wholesale retailer is eagerly awaiting its comeback. "Following extensive renovations, Sam's Club is eager to reintroduce an enhanced shopping experience to its valued members," a news release stated, anticipating the introduction of Sam's Club's latest technology, upgraded services, and a wide array of quality products at competitive prices. This information was detailed in a news release covered by The Dallas Express.

Lance de la Rose, the executive vice president and COO of Sam's Club, expressed excitement about the store's return to the community. "We are thrilled to announce the reopening and revitalization of our Grapevine location and are excited for the opportunity to directly serve the Grapevine community again," de la Rose said. He emphasized the brand's commitment to providing an "enhanced shopping experience" and fulfilling its promise of helping members through "value, convenience, and quality" as mentioned by The Dallas Express. The reopening is also set to boost the local employment scene with the promise of new job creation.

To attract customers back to the brick-and-mortar location, Sam's Club is dangling some enticing incentives. These include exclusive deals, such as $30 off a subsequent in-club purchase of $30 or more for club members, and even steeper discounts for Plus members who can look forward to $50 off their next in-club purchases of $50 or more. These discounts serve to not only welcome back existing customers but possibly draw in new members looking to capitalize on the bargain offers.
