Celebrating the Month of the Military Child, this art installation showcases the talent of ten young individuals who share their lives through the canvas, under the shadow of their family's service to the nation.

This initiative, as part of Dr. Biden's Joining Forces campaign, honors military children by showcasing their creativity and giving insight into their often-overlooked sacrifices. “Through every new deployment, neighborhood, and school, military children serve alongside their parents. In the artwork we feature in The Military Children’s Corner, we see a glimpse of the world through their eyes,” Dr. Biden was quoted by the White House website. The artwork, which can now be admired by visitors entering the East Wing of the White House, serves as a colorful testament to their strength and adaptability.

The children whose artwork forms part of "A View from My Window" come from diverse backgrounds and locations, with contributions from as far-reaching as Army Garrison Wiesbaden in Germany to the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. The Military Children's Corner, strategically placed in the East Colonnade, is designed to echo the welcoming ambiance of school bulletin boards, fostering a sense of inclusion and recognition.
