A security guard was shot multiple times outside the Encino home of music executive Amir Esmailian, known professionally as Cash XO, co-founder of XO Records and co-manager of The Weeknd.

The incident occurred early Monday around 2:30 a.m. near the 101 Freeway and White Oak Avenue, and the guard, while sitting in a guard shack, was attacked and managed to call 911, describing the suspects as three men wearing hoodies and surgical masks before they fled, according to FOXLA.

Presently, the security guard has undergone surgery and is expected to survive following the critical gunshot wounds, per updates from authorities around 7 a.m. Investigations are ongoing into whether this was a burglary attempt or a home invasion, with at least four individuals reportedly inside the residence at the time of the shooting.
