West Springfield Police are on the hunt for a man suspected of a sneaker heist, having lifted roughly $1000 worth of "Nike" march from the local Kohls. The incident, occurring on April 8 at around 8:30PM, saw the suspect flee the store located at 935 Riverdale St. and jump into a getaway car, according to the West Springfield Police Department Facebook page.

The short-lived car chase came to an abrupt end as safety concerns for the public took precedence. The perpetrator's vehicle has been tracked down by authorities, with charges against its owner forthcoming. While fleeing after stealing a stash of merchandise, the West Springfield police department has publicized the suspect's image, enlisting local eyes to aid in his capture.
