Coming up on May 4, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Forest Lake Transit Center will serve as the hub for disposing of electronic waste and other hazardous materials safely, according to Washington County Minnesota.

Located at 19987 Fitzgerald Trail North, the collection drive is designed to bring the full range of services offered by the Washington County Environmental Center closer to home for residents, at a convenient location where they can dispose of items ranging from old computers to paint and automotive supplies, and even shred confidential documents, no need to trek to the main center saving both time and effort.

Apart from this one-day blitz, the Environmental Center at 4039 Cottage Grove Drive in Woodbury stands ready to assist with waste management throughout the year, as reported by the Washington County Minnesota. Open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at varying hours, the center not only takes in waste but also operates a Free Product Room—it's a spot where folks can pick out usable items like household cleaners and automotive supplies that others have discarded, the intention is to repurpose these goods and thereby extend their lifespan, reducing waste.
