Georgia Military College Honors Tiffany Foster with Posthumous Degree Amid Ongoing Murder CaseSource: Google Street View

The Georgia Military College has awarded a posthumous degree to the family of Tiffany Foster, a student who mysteriously vanished in 2021 and is believed to have been murdered, officials said on Wednesday. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the college paid tribute to Foster, who was pursuing an associate of applied science in criminal justice at the institution.

Foster disappeared more than three years ago, and her former fiancé, Reginald Robertson, has been charged with her murder, though her body has not yet been recovered. "She was big on education and stayed on her children all the time about how important education is," Foster's mother, Katrina Hill, told Atlanta News First. Officials from the college emphasized their commitment to recognizing her hard work, dedication, and "the community’s support for her family during this difficult time."

Robertson, facing a myriad of charges including felony murder and malice murder, remains in jail. The case of Foster's disappearance has yet to see a courtroom though a district attorney indicated that it will be tried. Meanwhile, investigations continue with several relevant "active leads" being pursued by law enforcement.

The posthumous degree ceremony saw the participation of Foster's family, including her daughter. The award serves as a poignant reminder of what her mother described as Foster's commitment to her own education, and to instilling its value in her children. "We just want to get justice for Tiffany because I feel like you know, a lot of people are watching her story and keeping up with it," Hill asserted in a statement obtained by FOX 5. The family continues their fight for justice, assured that evidentiary patience and faith will eventually yield closure.

As additional facets of the tragedy come into play, individuals like Jeremy Walker have also been implicated. Investigators charge him with concealing Foster's death and being complicit after the fact. Walker, who was a neighbor in the same apartment complex as the victim and the primary suspect, has been charged with helping to conceal the crime and stealing the victim's car, FOX 5 reports. The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office continues to urge anyone with information to come forward.
