Harris County Man Charged with DUI, Illegal Gun Possession After Traffic Stop on Tomball ParkwaySource: Facebook/Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4

A man was nabbed by deputies for drunken driving and illegal gun possession in Harris County. During a May 22 traffic stop on the 20600 block of Tomball Parkway, Kenneth Patterson, the driver, showed clear signs of intoxication, according to Constable Mark Herman's Office. Not only was Patterson's vehicle cruising dangerously slow and nearly hitting the divider, but deputies also found the interior littered with empty beer cans.

Once they had to eventually stop and confront the vehicle, law enforcement conducted field sobriety tests and secured a search warrant for Patterson's blood to confirm their suspicions. The investigation swiftly turned from bad to worse for Patterson when a loaded pistol was discovered under the driver's seat during a vehicle search, as described in a Facebook post by the precinct.

"Kenneth Patterson was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon. His bond was set at $200.00 out of County Court 16." Constable Mark Herman stated.
