In a coordinated effort led by the White Settlement Police Department (WSPD), two suspects with a trove of felony charges have been apprehended, while a third, linked to a grisly child assault case, was captured at a local motel. As reported by the White Settlement Police Department, the Texas Criminal Investigation Division tipped off local authorities about the suspects, known for violent crimes and high-speed escapes, cruising in their jurisdiction.
The meticulous operation avoided a car chase by employing the StarChase GPS dart system, which allowed for the swift apprehension of the first two suspects on charges involving illegal firearms, drug possession, fraud, and parole violation—highlighting coordination between patrol units, criminal investigations, and dispatch. The duo was wanted on warrants from both the Burleson Police Department and the Texas Parole Board.
The third fugitive, a suspect in an aggravated child sexual assault case, was pinpointed at a motel by the vigilant law enforcement team—however, the suspect narrowly evaded initial capture by fleeing before officers arrived, based on a tip from the motel manager. Detectives took to the streets, armed with surveillance photos published by Chief Cook, to track down the suspect.
In a stroke of rapid investigative action, WSPD detectives, including Corporal Laura Gonzalez and Sgt. Steven Person, spotted the third suspect at America’s Best Value Inn. The team moved in, arresting the individual without further ado. The operation's success was a collective triumph, featuring Sergeant James Stewart, Detective Geovanny Ramirez, and officers Haley Buck, Thomas Hale, and Corporal Brandon Tibbit among others with Deputy Stephens manning the console back at WEST COMM, the law enforcement's dispatch center was commended for orchestrating the GPS tracking, radio coordination, and Fort Worth PD conflict de-escalation. "GREAT JOB IN GETTING THESE SUSPECTS INTO CUSTODY," boasted the White Settlement Police Department's acknowledgment of their successful collective effort.
