Brazoria County Crackdown Nets $31,000 in Drugs with Multiple Arrests in Manvel and AlvinSource: Facebook/Brazoria County Sheriff's Office

Authorities in Brazoria County have made a substantial impact in a local drug takedown, with two separate busts bringing in a horde of illicit substances and resulting in multiple arrests. According to FOX 26 Houston, on Monday, the Brazoria County Special Response Team (SRT) detained 22-year-old Kyra Solorio and three juveniles after seizing substances including suspected Fentanyl, Cocaine, Xanax, Marijuana, and THC oil in Manvel, valued collectively at $20,000.

Additional reporting by The Facts disclosed that there was another raid conducted on Friday in Alvin, where Lance Ruel Setliff, Angela Marie Hatley, and Michael Davis were charged with several counts of manufacture/delivery of different controlled substances. In the raid at an apartment on Mustang Road, law enforcement officials discovered over 2,300 grams of drugs, including 1050 grams of methamphetamine and various amounts of marijuana, THC wax, LSD, cocaine, mushrooms, Adderall, Xanax, Tramadol, hydrocodone, and ecstasy, with an estimated street value of $11,000.

These operations are part of a relentless push by the Brazoria County Narcotics Task Force (BCNTF), in conjunction with agencies such as HSI Galveston and the Texas Department of Public Safety, to curb drug-related activities within the community. The month-long and two-month-long investigations, respectively, highlight a procedural commitment to dismantling networks that BCNTF believes contribute significantly to local crime and community harm.

The BCNTF, in a statement obtained by FOX 26 Houston, extended its thanks to the community for their cooperation and vigilance. Meanwhile, The Facts reported that the multi-departmental collaboration proves a unified front against the distribution of hazardous substances. "This successful operation underscores the commitment of the BCNTF, DPS, and Alvin Police Department to remove dangerous drugs and distributors from Brazoria County," was stated in the release, confirming the collaborative effort's efficacy in creating a safer environment for the residents.

As the investigations continue, the possibility of additional arrests and charges looms, pointing to a wider network of drug transactions and misuse plaguing not just Brazoria County, but potentially adjoining areas.
