Buckeye City Prepares for July 4th Festivities; Offices Closed, Fun-Filled Events and Fireworks ScheduledSource: City of Buckeye

Buckeye city is gearing up to celebrate Independence Day with an array of events and closures to take note of. As reported by the City of Buckeye's official website, all city offices along with public libraries will be firmly shut on Thursday, July 4, in observance of the holiday. Normal hours are expected to promptly resume the following day.

For those looking to cool off and celebrate, the Buckeyes Aquatic Center invites residents and veterans alike to come together for the 4th of July Patriotic Pool Party. It’s scheduled to run from noon to 5 p.m., with a special offer: show your military ID to effortlessly gain four free entries to the pool. And while city services pause for the holiday, trash and recycling pickups will march on unaffected. Those with a regular service on Tuesday should remember to have their bins out on the street by the bright and early hour of 5:30 a.m.

The evening will continue with the city’s Independence Day Celebration, a family-friendly affair held at the Buckeye Municipal Airport, located at 3000 S. Palo Verde Road. The festivities are slated to begin at 6 p.m. and will include a spread of food trucks offering varied treats, alongside games and live music for the public to enjoy up until 9 p.m. A dazzling fireworks display is set to cap off the evening, starting at 8:30 p.m.

Attendees are welcomed to bring along bottled water and snacks to the celebration, but with specific restrictions in mind - no glass containers, canopies, tents or grills will be allowed. Those interested in a comprehensive list of what’s permitted can easily find it online. For more information on trash, recycling, and bulk trash schedules, citizens can visit the city's official trash schedule page.
