A tragic incident at a Cordova hotel has taken the life of a young child. Memphis Police responded to an emergency call at Comfort Suites, located on North Germantown Parkway, after a four-year-old girl fell into the hotel swimming pool shortly after midnight Thursday.

According to Action News 5, the child was transported to a hospital, where, despite efforts to save her, she was declared deceased. The incident, still under Memphis Police's investigation, tugs at the heartstrings of the local community and raises concerns over child safety in public areas.
