Early yesterday morning, the Vacaville community was on high alert when gunfire broke the pre-dawn calm in the 500 block of Chateau Way. According to the Vacaville Police Department, multiple shots were fired, striking a residence and a stationary vehicle. Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported.

The swift response involved coordinated efforts with other law enforcement agencies, leading to the suspect's apprehension without further incidents. The investigation is ongoing, and the situation is treated as an isolated incident.

The incident began as a heated exchange near the home and escalated into violence. The police followed a lead from the sound of an argument and a glimpse of a white Lexus SUV. Solano County Sheriff's deputies located the suspect vehicle near Benicia Road and Carquinez Street in Vallejo. An unregistered handgun was found, and the suspect was safely arrested.

Omar Molinamendoza, a 27-year-old Vallejo resident, faces charges including shooting into an inhabited dwelling and possession of ammunition by a prohibited person. He was booked into Solano County Jail. The suspect's connection to one of the residence's occupants suggests a personal motive. The Lexus SUV has been towed and is now part of the investigation.
