A local gym owner in Manchester, New Hampshire, has found himself in the midst of a grave accusation. Terry Dow, age 51, has been charged with one count of felonious sexual assault and one count of simple assault after allegations surfaced of him inappropriately touching a juvenile girl. NBC Boston reports that the events purportedly unfolded in Dow's fitness establishment, The Training Station, located on Elm Street.

It began when Dow reportedly picked the teen girl up at her home to volunteer at the gym. According to Manchester police, once there, Dow is claimed to have entered the women's locker room where the girl was cleaning, and allegedly proceeded to improperly touch her. Police stressed that this complaint surfaced after a report was received from the Division for Children, Youth and Families in May. "Dow told the teen not to tell her parents," police said in a statement obtained by NBC Boston. Yet, in an act of trust, the girl opted to confide in an adult, which consequentially triggered the investigation.

Dow turned himself in to Manchester Police on June 20 and was released on personal recognizance. He faces an arraignment scheduled for July 25.
