A tragic incident late last night in El Cajon has left one male pedestrian dead after being struck by a vehicle. According to the El Cajon Police Department, the accident occurred at around 10:52 PM yesterday, at 300 West Chase Ave. Despite immediate response from police officers and paramedics, the man, believed to be between 50 and 60 years of age, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle involved, a 2020 white Toyota Tacoma, was driven by an unidentified person who remained at the incident site and has reportedly been fully cooperative with the ongoing investigation. The police have ruled out alcohol or drugs as contributing factors. Efforts to swiftly identify the victim are currently underway.
