A Mountain View middle school teacher has been arrested on charges including annoying and molesting a child and false imprisonment. The teacher, 59-year-old Ralph Turner of Sunnyvale, allegedly engaged in inappropriate conduct with a 12-year-old female student at Graham Middle School. After the allegations surfaced in April 2024, Turner was placed on administrative leave by the Mountain View Whisman School District, according to the City of Mountain View.

Following an interview with the reported victim, the Mountain View Police Department detectives expanded their investigation to include additional students who may have also been victims or witnesses of Turner's alleged conduct. On June 5, Turner was located and arrested at about 1 p.m. without incident, as the detectives had obtained an arrest warrant for him.

Presently, there is a concern amongst the investigating detectives that there may be other victims of the accused.
