The alert seeks to find 68-year-old Hongwei Yan, who was reported missing by the San Leandro Police Department. The official CHP alert was activated after Yan was last seen last Friday, at around 7:00 a.m., and is believed to be on foot. Hongwei Yan is described as an Asian female, weighing around 100 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes. She was last spotted wearing a white and blue jacket, black shoes, and carrying a gray backpack.
In a statement released by CHP and echoed across social media platforms, the public is urged to report any sightings immediately to 9-1-1. Details about Yan's disappearance and the circumstances under which she went missing have not been fully disclosed.
