Two men are facing a slate of charges after police say a traffic stop led to the discovery of stolen goods and evidence of a home burglary in Suwanee. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, officers with the Suwanee Police Department apprehended 43-year-old Robinsson Perez Chaparro and 23-year-old Ronald Alexander Pulido on June 1, after an attempted escape when their vehicle was pulled over.

During the stop, detectives found designer handbags, jewelry, and a large amount of cash inside the car, along with tools and a passport. After running away lead to their arrest, the men also face charges including first-degree burglary, unlawful surveillance, and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

The aftermath of the investigation drew detectives to a Hillcrest Drive residence, where a break-in had occurred on the same evening as the traffic stop. A broken window was discovered at the back of the home, signaling a point of illegal entry. At this location, they uncovered a hidden surveillance camera with footage showing over a week of the victim's home and driveway, as cited by WSB-TV.

The ongoing scrutiny identified the victim as a local business owner, believed to have been targeted by the thieves. Both Chaparro and Pulido have been implicated in the planning and execution of the burglary, as evidenced by the unlawfully obtained surveillance film that headed police to pinpoint them as suspects.

Authorities have now leveled against Chaparro and Pulido charges including prowling and obstruction, in addition to theft by taking. The two men are currently held at Gwinnett County Jail. In an effort to bolster their case, the Suwannee Police Department is reaching out to the public for any further information that might aid in their investigation.
