Yet Another Change Of Hands For Indian Restaurant At 1668 Haight St.Photo: Camden Avery/Hoodline

The seeming endless rotation of restaurants at 1668 Haight St.—most recently incarnated about a year ago as Tikka Fresh—is continuing. The space is currently closed for construction and renovations, slated to reopen soon as Om Indian Cuisine.

According to signs at the address and a forthcoming website, Om Indian will be an eat-in/delivery option for Indian and Himalayan cuisine. If so, this would be the Upper Haight's only current option for Himalayan food.

The operational shift also involves a change of command: the new owner of the restaurant is listed as Ajay Khadka, who doesn't appear to be affiliated with any other San Francisco restaurants.

The change is the latest in a seemingly interminable list of ownership and name changes at Tikka Fresh, née Tikka Masala Pizzanée Sarvi, née Tikka Masalawhich has been on the market twice in the past three years.

It's unclear exactly what the construction and change of command will wind up looking like, but we will, as ever, keep you posted on developments and the opening date.
