Duboce Triangle Gets Gift From "Looking" CrewFlickr/sparkleglowplug
The producers of the new HBO show "Looking," which filmed for roughly two months straight in the Lower Haight last Fall, have made a donation. To... Duboce Triangle.

The Duboce Triangle Neighborhood Association (DTNA) reports in its latest newsletter that it has received a gift of $1000 from the show's producers.
"Many of you are probably watching and enjoying the new HBO series “Looking” that premiered recently at the Castro Theater and was filmed entirely in San Francisco, partly in our neighborhood. The show’s producers have kindly donated $1,000 to DTNA, and the DTNA Board wants to do something to spruce up the neighborhood with it."
DTNA hopes to use the money to replace benches on Noe Street, like those pictured above, which have fallen into disrepair. In fact, the organization is looking for a local carpenter who might have the skills and tools necessary for the job. If that's you, contact DTNA at treasurer [at] dtna {{dot}} org. No word on whether any other neighborhood associations (including LoHaMNA, the Lower Haight's) received any similar donations from the show's crew.
