During the weekend, two separate stabbings occurred within 12 hours of each other on the corner of 6th and Natoma streets in SoMa.

The first incident occurred on August 19th at 5pm. A 43-year-old man confronted a man in his late 30s who was hitting a woman. The suspect slashed the man who intervened, and then fled.

The man was taken to the hospital with a laceration and is expected to survive his injuries.

The second incident took place at 5am on August 20th. Two men got into an argument, and one—a man in his 50s—stabbed the other, a 31-year-old man with a weapon that police described as an "unknown edged weapon."

The victim also suffered a non-life-threatening laceration and was taken to the hospital.

No arrests were made in either incident.
