On Saturday night, All Out Comedy Theater celebrates the season by hosting Giggle Bells, its holiday-themed improv show.

Take Root: Oakland Grows Food is a new exhibition at Oakland Museum of California that "explores the many aspects of Oakland's food communities and what factors determine where, how, why, and what is grown by residents throughout the city."

Fox Theater and Uptown Nightclub are staging live musical performances tonight and tomorrow, and feline fans who like to laugh are encouraged to attend Cat People, a comedy show at the Layover Bar & Lounge.
