Hamtramck walking tour with Detroit Experience Factory

Join Detroit Experience Factory for a tour of Hamtramck — one of the most diverse zip codes in the United States. Originally a Polish enclave, the 2.1-square-mile neighborhood is now home to people from more than 16 different countries. Expect many diverse stops throughout this two-hour tour.

Running the family business panel at Detroit Cab Co.

Explore the rich history of family businesses in Detroit at a panel within the headquarters of a real family businesses. The discussion will tackle important questions, including: How is a family business passed down? What happens if the next generation doesn't want to join the family business? And, what if there is dysfunction within the family?

The night's panel will include husband-and-wife duo Saleh and Bushra Mahmoud of Detroit Cab Co., father-daughter duo Ronald and Lauren Rivers of Rivers Realty Inc., siblings Tony and Sonia Lopez of Lopez Tire & Tequila Cabresto. And attendees will enjoy free pizza and beer.
