Oakland weekend: Burger Boogaloo, The Buck, comedian Will Durst, morePhoto: The Buck/Facebook

It's Friday afternoon, which means it's time to grab the weekend with both hands and keep shaking it until some fun falls out of its pockets.

As ever, tonight at Oakland Museum of California is fun for the whole family with food trucks, music, and of course, a museum full of wonders to explore. Later, fans of standup can get their fill at one of Comedy Oakland's sets or at Social Studies Improv.

On Saturday, go beer tasting at Uptown Beer Walk or bring yourself and some earplugs to Burger Boogaloo 2018 at Mosswood Park for the first of two solid days of punk rock glory. In the evening, comedian Will Durst will attempt to make sense of current events in Durst Case Scenario.

Shop The Buck artisanal bazaar at Jack London Square on Sunday, then hop aboard FDR's presidential yacht, The Potomac, for an early Independence Day Sail on the Bay.

Take a look at additional events happening around Oakland over the next few days:

Friday, June 29

Saturday, June 30

Sunday, July 1
