Looking for the best new pizza in Charlotte? These spots will satisfy all your cravings. Here are the newest places to check out the next time you're in the mood for some pizza.

Sapienza

620 N. Church St., Uptown

Sapienza is serving up New York-style pizzas along with pastas, calzones and sandwiches. Pizza options include the White Veggie with broccoli, zucchini, tomato and green pepper; Meat Stuffed with ham, bacon and sausage; and the thick-cut Sicilian. 

Pair your pie with appetizers like calamari, breaded Italian wings, garlic knots or pimento mac and cheese bites. See the full menu here. 

The fresh arrival has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of nine reviews on Yelp.

Robin F., who reviewed the new spot on Aug. 3, wrote, "This is probably my favorite pizza place in Charlotte right now. The crust is cooked to perfection and the slices are huge with great toppings. They also serve paninis, salads, pasta and wings."

And Jeff M. wrote, "Big N.Y.-style slices loaded with amazing sauce, tons of cheese and the dough and crust were perfect. The inside is super bright with plenty of natural light, lots of seating and beer, wine and liquor. Owners and staff were super friendly and fast."

Firenza Pizza

With locations across the country, Firenza Pizza is part of the wave of quick-fired pizzerias. It makes made-to-order, customizable pizzas that bake up in minutes in stone-hearth ovens, per its website.

The new location offers a wide selection of toppings, including fresh mozzarella, blue cheese, meatballs, pepperoni, pineapple, black olives, arugula, among others. 

In addition, look for eight signature pies ranging from the Pizza Vegetariana to the Big Kahuna: smoked ham, bacon and tropical pineapple.

Firenza Pizza has gotten off to a good start, with a four-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp so far.

Anisha H., who reviewed the new spot on June 5, said, "Ordering my pizza was very simple and the dough was freshly hand-tossed in front of you. The ingredients were clean and very fresh!"

Yelper Star B. added, “We ordered the Margarita, the Buffalo Chicken and the build your own, which included Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, spinach, red onions, chicken and banana peppers. Delicious! They had a line, but it moved fast!”

Alpha Omega Grill & Pizzeria

Alpha Omega Grill & Pizzeria is a Mediterranean and Italian spot that comes from the family behind the local Dino's Restaurant chain. 

On the menu, look for offerings like the chicken or pork souvlaki, the jalapeño ranch burger with cheddar cheese and the Florentine pizza with chicken and fresh spinach. (Take a look at the menu here.)

The new addition has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 29 reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Christina P. wrote, "This place was awesome! Tons of seating and great atmosphere. The restaurant was decorated nice and service was great! Missed these guys when they were Dino's and I am happy to see their success."
