Boba Silog brings Filipino fare and bubble tea to Northeast FresnoPhoto: Adam J./Yelp

A new local spot, offering bubble tea and Filipino breakfast fare, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Boba Silog, the fresh arrival is located at 1112 E. Champlain Drive, Suite 101 in Northeast Fresno.

On the menu, look for a variety of organic milk teas, with flavors like lavender, rose, lychee and taro/ube with boba.

Light snacks and breakfast delights are on offer as well, from Filipino spring rolls with garlic fried rice to flame-grilled barbecue fries and chocolate Belgian waffles. (You can check out the full menu here.)

With a five-star rating out of 12 reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition has made a promising start.

Rocky B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on January 7, wrote, "I'm super glad a new Filipino restaurant opened up in town, especially one that also specializes in boba drinks. I've only tried a couple of drinks so far (lychee black tea, and a 'buko' [coconut] slush), which were both good. ... Their adobo silog was delicious!"

“One of the best boba shops I've ever been to!" added Yelper Rachel V. "I ordered the Purple Rain, Mint Cookies N' Cream and the Strawberry Scramble! They were all amazing!”

Head on over to check it out: Boba Silog is open from 8 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m.–8 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Tuesday.)
