If you love live music, there's no time like the present when it comes to getting out and about in San Jose. From pop-folk to classical to the Beatles, here are the local shows worth checking out this week.

Gordon Lightfoot

First up is folk-pop singer-songwriter, Gordon Lightfoot for a one night only performance on his "80 Years Strong" tour at City National Civic. 

Hailing from Canada, and with more than 200 recordings spanning his roughly five-decade career, Lightfoot performs some of his hits, like "Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald," "Early Morning Rain," and "If You Could Read my Mind," among others.

Sound José: A Live Concert Showcase

Next, check out Sound José, the first concert to be held on The San Jose Flea Market's new live performance stage.

The show features an array of local talent curated by San Jose's The Come Up art collective, like Ian Santillano and the Housewarmers, Young Tsukune, Casey Cope and De La Rosa. Look for artist booths from Catelyn Anne Manasala, Kittybrat Art and Samüel Cortez, food from Junior's Elote, tarot card readings, a vinyl listening area and more.

Flauti Dolci & Amici I

Then, Foothill Community Concert Series presents Flauti Dolci & Amici I, "a delightful collection of chamber music from ensembles representing the Bay Area's vibrant early music scene," write the organizers. 

Recorder and mixed ensembles will perform scores from the Renaissance and Baroque periods combined with an assortment of modern compositions, as well. This Saturday's performance features Bona Speranza, SDQ, Quartetto Paradiso, Consorte Paradiso, Amaranta  and Ensemble Trecento.

Come Together – Up to 50% Off Beatles Tribute

Finally, Beatles tribute band, Come Together: The Beatles Concert Experience, takes the stage at the Montgomery Theater for one night only. The concert will take place on March 23, but the discounted tickets are available this week for a limited time.

Come Together pays homage to the Fab Four by recreating the sound and the look "across the entirety of their auspicious career," according to the event organizers. The group changes costumes and hairstyles to portray the Beatles from their "mop-topped British Invasion days to the Sgt. Pepper era and beyond."
